There is a great lesson in the prayer of Elijah to God in (1 Kings 18:36).
*Miracles have a waiting period. Miracles can wait for a year, a month, a week, instant.
When do you want your miracle?
*Some miracles can wait for one year (Genesis 18: 9-14). God himself decreed that Sarah would have a son but she had to wait for 9 months before Isaac was born.
*The same can be seen with Elisha (with his double anointing) decreed that the Shunammite woman will have a son, but she had to wait for 9 months for the miracle to be established.
*Some miracles can wait for one month. In (1 Samuel 17 1-16/51), Goliath terrorized Israel for 40 days before the miracle came.
*Some miracles can wait for a week. In John 11, Lazarus was sick. They sent a message to Jesus Christ. He stayed where he was for two more days before he came. When he arrived, Lazarus had been buried 4 days. Yet, the miracle came. God is never too late for a miracle because He is Almighty. There is nothing too difficult for Him to do. Just believe and have unshaken faith in Him.
*Some miracles can wait for 24hours (1day). Elisha prophesied in (2 Kings 7:1-11) that by this time tomorrow, there will be abundance of food. Nobody will want to buy; everybody will just go and collect. The miracle came.
*But some miracles can’t wait. It must happen now. Prove yourself NOW GOD just like Elijah said to GOD in (1King 18:36).
*When Elijah stood with the 450 prophets of Baal, Elijah called upon GOD to prove himself as the Almighty and God proved himself instantly.
*When David approached Goliath, he needed God to prove himself instantly otherwise, we won’t be telling King David today.
*When Peter was walking on the water and approaching Jesus Christ and suddenly began to sink. Jesus didn’t postpone him miracle otherwise we won’t be telling his story today.
